If you’ve been looking for a connection to Obama spending a conspicuous amount of time around the NBA bubble in Orlando and the seemingly impossible upset of the Denver Nuggets over the Los Angeles Clippers, well here it is.

Obama affiliates were spotted handing Clippers players large sums of cash as they exited the NBA bubble after their untimely loss.

Upon news of this reaching his desk, NBA commissioner Adam Silver immediately launched an investigation. NBA security officials interviewed several players and staff on the Clippers, as well as coach Doc Rivers.  While Rivers himself denied any knowledge of the payoffs, some of his players and staff were not quite so apprehensive to tell their stories.

Power forward Rodney McGrudernot not only admitted to accepting payment to throw the games, he also encouraged his teammates to do the same. “Our contracts were reworked due to the shortened season. We weren’t getting paid what we deserve, and it’s not like we were going to win the championship anyway.”, McGruder claimed.

The payoffs were not limited to just the players, but some of the staff as well. Team proctologist Dr. Susan Scott told NBA security officials that she was paid as sort of a backup plan. Should the players not agree to throw the games, she was to limit their adrenochrome intake, essentially slowing down their overall performance on the court. “Apparently Obama had a lot of money on the line for this series. He wasn’t going to let uncooperative players deny him of his winnings.  If they wouldn’t throw the games on their own, that’s where I would step in.”

When enough evidence of the payoffs had been confirmed by the NBA, officials contacted the local FBI office in Orlando and handed several documents over, as well as videos of all interviews.

An initial investigation launched by the FBI failed to find any evidence of payments made directly from the Obama’s various bank accounts.  While a few withdrawals had been made over the past few weeks, they did not add up to the amount accounted for in the payoffs. This led FBI investigators to look into the Obama Foundation. They discovered that Obama had been funneling cash donations into an offshoshore account in the Cayman Islands. From this account, he could easily withdraw large sums of cash unnoticed.

Casino officials at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas confirmed to the FBI that Obama, himself, had placed several large bets involving the Clippers / Nuggets playoff series. While the sum of the bets is still considered confidential at this point, a source close to the FBI has told reporters that it is thought to be in the $10 million range.

While the arrogance Obama displayed in these actions is not surprising, they are disappointing. Not only did they further diminish the legacy of his failed administration, but they ruined what was already a struggling NBA season.
