Congresswoman Alexandria Ortego-Cortez went from having a net worth of $16,502 — according to her financial disclosures — to a whopping $24 million in just four years. How does a former bartender turned mouthpiece for the left make so much money? She doesn’t, says an expert on the matter.
“She gets paid to endorse things she’s never seen,” says government watchdog Joe Barron, “she’s lent her name to four books she had nothing to do with writing. She’s a complete fraud.” AOC has a fifth book entitled “Tax the Rich” due out this winter.
Because she made so much, her effective tax rate was lower than the aides in her office, which seems wrong. She makes almost $200K a year to block sensible legislation, now she’s a millionaire 24 times over.
The Republican think tank Citizens United National Trust Society disclosed that she also made nearly $500K from petty cash and other taxpayer-related funds. The infamous dress she supposedly got for free cost the people $409K after she spilled wine on it.
The lawmaker from Brooklyn should probably either give all of that money to poor people in her home country or go back there. That’s how it works, isn’t it? You make a bunch of cash and leftists point at you and sneer.
