When people talk about Elon Musk, they talk about how his South African heritage makes him ineligible to run for President. The truth, however, is that Musk was born in Texas and is, therefore, a naturalized American citizen.

Musk was born to a family of wealthy diplomats. His father, Trulon Musk, was in Dallas to meet with Kennedy when his wife, Albina Musk, went into labor. Unable to skip his appointments with JFK, he sent for her to meet him in Dallas. Rumor has it Elon’s head was already poking out as the plane touched down at the airport.

And there he was. A beautiful baby Musk, and an American citizen to boot. It would be a couple of decades before the young man would invent Paypal and the electric car, and another 6 years after that before he discovered renewable space travel. Now, he’s perfecting social media with a masterful takeover of Twitter.

What’s next on the Mush agenda? A run at the White House isn’t out of the question. But could he win? He certainly wouldn’t need to fundraise. Is the idea of an Elon Musk presidency out of the realm of possibility? It doesn’t look like it. Unless someone starts demanding to see his birth certificate or something.
