The communists at Big Tech have struck again, this time by banishing Donald Trump and many of his devoted followers. Twitter, Google, and Apple have all defecated on the corpse of the First Amendment by banning President Trump along with many conservative apps such as Parler.
In a press release, Director of Communications for Twitter, Joe Barron, announced the reasoning for Trump’s banishment from the service:
“We don’t tolerate fascism, racism, xenophobia, or sedition on our platform. We have let it pass for the past four years, but now it’s time we look like the good guys and clamp down on this behavior.”
“As of today, Donald Trump and his ilk will no longer be permitted on Twitter or any Twitter-owned service. This banishment is permanent and there will be no appeals.”
First Amendment scholars in Facebook were quick to slam this news. One such scholar, Bob Smith laid out his thoughts, saying that it is illegal to ban anyone from Twitter, and encouraged Trump to make his own social media company.
THIS IS AGAINST THE FIRST AMENDMENT PRIVATE COMPANIES CAN’T CENSOR ANYONE. THAT VIOLATES OUR FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS JUST READ THE CONSTITUTION AND IT IS RIGHT THERE! IF BAKERIES HAVE TO SERVE THE GAYS, THEN TWITTER HAS TO SERVE THE RACISTS AND SEDITIONISTS! TRUMP NEEDS TO MAKE HIS OWN TWITTER”
That is exactly what Trump is going to do. Today, President Trump announced that he will be looking into creating “a conservative alternative to Twitter”. This site will have no rules, and no censorship. It will allows neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and domestic terrorists, along with many other fine people. It will be a haven for the First Amendment, a beacon of light in the darkness.
We wish Trump success in this new endeavor. The country needs it to succeed. Without this, the First Amendment is as good as dead.
