The Vatican made it official on Tuesday, throwing its considerable influence behind the re-election of Donald Trump.  The announcement is widely viewed as being in accordance with the Will of God.

While not coming as a total surprise due to Trump’s devout faith and charity, what is surprising is why it took so long for Pope Francis to make this announcement public. Trump has long been the obvious choice for patriotic American Christians amongst a cesspool of democratic blasphemers and false conservatives.

Throughout his first four years in office, there has always been a feeling of divine leadership surrounding Trump. Not since the Reagan administration have true Americans had their faith so well represented in both foreign and domestic policies.

From the border wall that protects our Christian nation from foreign invaders to the numerous peace deals Trump has negotiated in the long war-torn Middle East, his presidency has shown the world the power and compassion of Christian faith-based leadership.

“As God’s humble earthly representative, I am obligated to endorse the re-election of President Trump with the full faith and credit of the Catholic Church,” Pope Francis said in Spanish.

In a statement that could only be described as tone-deaf, Biden responded to the Pope’s endorsement of Trump, saying, “In America, we pride ourselves on our separation of church and state. Freedom of religion is an American right. When any religion uses its influence to sway the vote of the American people, they are no longer a religion. They become a political entity.”

The religious gerrymandering of the left to divide people of faith has been a growing problem in our country since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973.

It seems now that Trump has stemmed that tide, and we are about to embark on an unprecedented era of Christian freedom in America. The endorsement of Pope Francis shows us the power of our president’s faith.
