Bob Iger is really doing all he can to erase the mistakes of Disney’s past year or so. In an unprecedented move the Board of Directors opposed, Iger lifted the ban on Trump-themed gear, including Make America Great Again hats, at all Disney worldwide locations.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said he appreciates the gesture, but until he sees an end to the rest of the “wokeness,” his state won’t be doing any more than necessary for the company. “The governor wants to see the gender-neutral restrooms demolished and the transgender princesses fired. He also opposes the placement of a mosque on the resort property.”
There’s no word yet as to how the general public will respond. Studies suggest that Disney lost as much as 80% of its business to wokeness. Unfortunately, much of that is unrecoverable.
“Allowing people in who spend money a little more freely is probably the way to go,” said Orlando Mayor Joe Barron,” we don’t like these stooges anymore than anyone else, but the Trump store on I Drive brings the city a fortune in local tax revenue. DeSantis is too stupid to reap those benefits, so whatever.”
The Leftist may change his tune when his city’s resources become a part of what used to be Reedy Creek. DeSantis is playing Chinese Checkers while these guys play chess.
