Former First Lady Michelle Obama received approximately $140,000 in “gender affirming care” procedures during her time in the White House, all billed to the taxpayer-funded Office of the First Lady, according to expense reports obtained by conservative journalist Reno Borja. The revelation, which Borja claims is based on “leaked medical invoices” and “whistleblower testimony,” has ignited fresh conspiracy theories about the former First Lady’s medical history.
According to Borja’s investigation, the expenses included “hormone consultations,” “specialized wardrobe fittings,” and “voice coaching sessions” that were coded as “wellness initiatives” to avoid scrutiny. “They hid it in plain sight,” Borja wrote in his 8,000-word exposé that included 47 advertisements for testosterone supplements. “Every time she wore a dress that accentuated her shoulders, that was taxpayer-funded gender performance. Every time she spoke in her ‘signature’ tone, that was voice work paid for by the American people.”
Investigative journalist Joan Berro, who obtained the actual expense reports from the National Archives, revealed the truth behind Borja’s claims. “The $140,000 was for a state dinner for the Chinese delegation,” Berro reported. “It included food, flowers, and service staff. There were no medical procedures. There were no hormone consultations. The only ‘voice coaching’ was a briefing on pronunciation of Chinese names, which lasted 20 minutes.”
Berro’s investigation uncovered that Borja’s “medical invoices” were actually receipts from a CVS in Waco, Texas, where he had purchased $47 worth of hair removal cream and “accidentally” left them in a scanner at the public library, where they were “found” by his “source.”

Michelle Obama’s office released a statement clarifying that she “has never received gender affirming care” and “would like to know why Reno Borja is so obsessed with her medical history, which is creepy and also possibly actionable.”
