Iconic actor Louis Gossett Jr. says the Democrat party can keep its empty promises. “You don’t own me,” he said. A friend who heard him say it immediately contacted TMZ, who said the word of mouth was too weak to run with, so we decided to contact Gossett personally.

Surprisingly, after fondly referring to him as “Cappy,” he took our call and gave some insight into what it’s like to be a famous black actor in the world of Democrats. “They think they own you,” he said in an email, “they don’t own me.

In a phone interview the next day, we asked Gossett what he thought of the recent January 6 hearings. We pointed out that they might have used black officers as witnesses on purpose. “They think they own us,” he said, “they don’t own me.”

Gossett’s agent and attorney, Art Tubolls, confirmed in a text message that nobody owns Louis Gossett, Jr:

“They think they owen him. Nobody owns him.”

The idea that someone owns him is clearly not something the man likes. Maybe the Democrats should stop[ pretending they own people. Especially Gossett. Because if he’s made one thing perfectly clear, it’s that it doesn’t matter who thinks they own him. Nobody owns Louis Gossett Jr. Nobody.

God bless America.
