Happy Easter! Now hand over your “assault weapon” and you won’t get hurt.
That’s a good example of what March this year is going to look like just outside of the Biden White House. The Senate and Congress haven’t voted yet in the new ban bill put forth by congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, but the time will come when the second amendment gets squished like a marshmallow peep.
Many of you are probably pondering : Just what exactly constitutes an “assault weapon”? That’s a great question. We asked gun moll Sandra Batt for the answer.
“An assault weapon, as they’re putting it, is a weapon that fires a host of bullets within a five second period, like a machine gun. Your standard AK or UZI. Apparently, these weapons are unnecessary for home defense or protection.”
Well maybe they are if the criminals have them. How are you supposed to defend yourself? Well, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has an answer for that too.
“See, if they’re banned, that means nobody will get them. Not even the criminals. I know, I know, ‘criminals don’t obey the LAW!’ Yeah, that’s how police spot them. It’s not instantaneous. They’re not going to be snatched all in one day. Give it time, though, and America will be that much safer.”
Cortez also pointed to President Ronald Reagan doing the same ban during his tenure. Will it work again? YOU be the judge.
