One of the few holdovers left over from the Trump administration is current Federal Communications Commission Chief Ajit Pai, who president Joe Biden has yet to replace due to the rampant dysfunction raging in his administration. Indeed, the FCC chief is among hundreds of positions that the Biden administration has yet to fill.
Ajit Pai is well known for his adamant defense of individual rights in the media, including net neutrality, which guarantees all American companies equal access to customers using the internet. He is also a strong proponent of repealing Section 230.
And now, in his continuing quest for fairness in the media, Mr. Pai has fined CNN and its parent organization, Turner Broadcasting System, 45 million dollars for its biased and irresponsible reporting of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial.
Because the FCC is an independent commission, the current president can replace the chief which, as noted above, he has not yet done, but he cannot overrule its decisions. This means that the 45 million dollar fine is final and cannot be challenged by the administration.
The FCC ruling, exclusively obtained by this publication, reads in part:
“CNN and its news anchors, including Don Lemon, Jim Sciutto, Jim Acosta and Anderson Cooper consistently and maliciously denigrated Kyle Rittenhouse during its coverage of the trial.
In fact, they were so mean to young Mr. Rittenhouse that he burst into tears during his trial while he was watching the CNN coverage on his iPad because he was bored by the court proceedings. The entire courtroom had to endure his persistent sobbing as he was watching the CNN coverage of himself.”

“What the CNN anchors did to this young man was truly unconscionable. They made fun of him when he was picking boogers out of his nose, even though he was recovering from a cold, laughed at his big ears and suggested he was farting every time he moved in his chair. Jim Acosta even said that he looked like a little girl patrolling the streets of Kenosha with his AR15.
What’s even worse, after Mr. Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges, Don Lemon suggested that he go back to mommy’s basement and order more hot pockets. We at the FCC will not stand for this sort of behavior and by issuing this ruling we are holding CNN accountable for its actions.”

As absurd as CNN’s coverage of the trial may or may not have been, Potatriots™ all across America are likely to even more absurdly just read the headline of this fictional news story and believe it is true.
