The ethics investigation into Rep Alexandria Ocosio-Cortez (AOC) just took a turn towards interesting. It seems that the Democrats themselves are the ones instigating the investigation and that they’re serious enough that they plan to leave the Republicans a recommended subpoena list to look into the matter.
Idaho Democrat Joe Barron says it’s the least the left can do, considering the heinous nature of the accusations against her. “These aren’t things we can overlook because of party politics,” said Barron. His counterpart on the committee, Republican Art Tubolls of Maine, says h appreciates the info and will forward the list to the DOJ for action.
The list covers a wide array of potential witnesses both from her public life and her private affairs. The role will include her campaign manager, chief of staff, and all of the usual suspects. It goes much further, however, as the committee also recommends bringing in her stylist and the woman who orders her scented candles for the office.
According to another source who may or may not have knowledge of the situation, the investigation is all about that woman, her ties to the congresswoman, and the fact that she may or may not be a legal US citizen. AOC has always said she was born in New York, but records show she might have actually been born in Puerto Rico. If that’s true, the congresswoman has a lot of explaining to do.
