Disney is trying its hardest to distance itself from the woke movement its own CEO decided to join. Chairman Joe Barron has now hired Republican greats Michael Jordan and Denzel Washington to try to “set the company on the right course.” According to our source inside Disney, the company has been quietly removing all of the rainbow flags and grooming centers from its parks.
The move to get the two giants on board came after patriotic Americans came out in droves to support the boycott. They refused to go to Disney, canceled their subscriptions to their streaming services, and burned all of their Disney stuff. then Ron DeSantis stepped in and cost the company billions.
Jordan and Washington will, presumably, try to reach real Americans using the traditional Republican ideals they were raised with. Jordan, who grew up in an affluent home outside of Chicoga, knows all too well what wokeness can do. “Look at Lebron,” Mike told us in an email, “his whole career is a mess.”
Denzel, on the other hand, grew up a little bit rougher. His Republican parents had a hard time getting him through St. John’s Prep and then on to Harvard with the discrimination he received for qualifying for an NAACP grant. He turned it down and paid his own student loans, shortly before landing his first role in Django.
It may be too little too late, but at least they’re trying.
