After yesterday’s announcement that Elon Musk is buying ABC from Disney there has been much speculation about the new direction he will take the network in.

One thing, however, was quite clear: cancelling The View is the very first thing on his to-do list. Moreover, Musk is contemplating replacing the show with a new one hosted by Kyle Rittenhouse.

Understandably, the current hosts of the show were not happy with the decision.

Whoopi Goldberg broke down in tears after the decision was announced on the show, stating:

“Elon Musk is so mean. I just don’t understand why he would cancel us. I mean, we have been a staple on TV for decades. A lot of people look up to us.

I honestly haven’t been this upset since Ted Danson and I broke up. At least Ted gave me some notice. This is all so sudden. Elon is a big fat meanie.

And to be replaced by Kyle Rittenhouse? The guy suing me for tens of millions of dollars? That’s just adding insult to injury.”

Privately however, Ms. Goldberg expressed some relief at the announcement, purportedly telling her co-hosts that “if Kyle Rittenhouse really does drop his lawsuit against me in exchange for being able to host the new show, then that will take a lot of pressure off me.”

While it is too early to speculate on what Ms. Goldberg’s plans for the future are, we would not at all be surprised to see her move to CNN or MSNBC.

Whatever Ms. Goldberg decides to do in the future, we wish her all the best.
