Do you shop at Whole Foods markets to get the best value on your fresh and organic goods? Well, you’d better watch your receipt for an upcoming charge that’s making folks across the country raise their eyebrows.
The newest thing, “shopping cart rental fees” is coming to the market this month, following in the footsteps of retail giant Walmart, who has had rumors flying across the internet for months about grabbing more of your hard-earned dollars out of your wallets for nothing.
Despite the fact that none of these rumors were true and no doubt came from the paranoid fantasies of some dickhead in Georgia with moles on his face, they still persist. We asked shopping cart expert Sandy “Bubbles” Batt her opinion.
“Shopping carts cost the supermarket or store over hundreds of dollars every month. There’s repairs, oiling, and…well, just repairs and oiling, really. But that adds up. Shopping Carts are a lot like women. You keep making them greasier and they’ll just slip through your fingers.”
Retailer Luis Colon of the Target brand outlets says his carts will always remain free for use as a courtesy.
“At Target, we love our customers. We ain’t Whole Foods with their gay beers and weird ass different colored beans. And quinoa. What the f*ck is that stuff?”
Whole Foods is charging eleventy-five dollars for each buggy starting on the 30th.
