If you’ve been listening to conservative talk radio for a while, you’ve probably run across the “man of meatballs” himself, Micheal Savage. His take-no-prisoners approach and his flamboyant style have made him a unique voice in the movement and a ratings powerhouse.
Now Savage, (real name Micheal Weiner), will be appearing live on television on ABC in the time spot to be vacated by The View after it’s cancellation this February. Why Savage? Luis Colon, Vice President of programming for the network told us why.
“He’s very caustic and influential. He invented the whole ‘liberalism is a mental disorder’ thing. When he first said it, we all thought, you know, there go all his credentials as a doctor. But the conservatives are so damn stupid that it stuck.”
The Whoopi Goldberg led View has seen a string of difficulties lately, thanks to Goldberg herself. Her needling of Elon Musk and Kyle Rittenhouse have led to massive lawsuits. The station decided to cut their losses and can the bitch.
“It was just the natural order of things, and the show had a good run,” says showrunner Sandra Batt. “But with the country getting stupider and more violent, the money is all on the right wing side.”
Savage will premiere his program on February 30th of this year. No word on if it’ll go as well as his MSNBC show that was cancelled in ONE DAY after he told a gay man on the air, quote : “I hope you get AIDS and die, you sodomite.”
