In October of 2017 an individual calling himself “Q” began posting details about a deep state conspiracy against President Trump and his supporters on a previously obscure internet message board known as 4chan. He later moved to 8chan, which has since been shut down.

What began as a few cryptic messages quickly went viral across all social media platforms, ultimately culminating in a large and almost religious group of followers across the entire country. By the summer of 2018 QAnon adherents were making regular and prominent appearances at Trump rallies.

Ostensibly, the “deep state” conspirators consist of three main players: the Clinton Foundation, George Soros, and former president Barack Obama. The QAnon movement even caught the attention of President Trump, who by the summer of 2020 had retweeted at least 185 Q affiliated Twitter accounts. Some of the most prominent QAnon accusations, which the mainstream media has decried as conspiracy theories, include Pizzagate, that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was actually installed by the CIA, and that Soros, Clinton, and Obama are planning a coup against the president.

A two year FBI investigation has now determined that the masterminds behind the QAnon movement are actually the very people Q accused of being a part of the deep state. While on the surface this may sound like a conspiracy theory within a conspiracy theory, it actually all makes sense. Q was designed to distract and denigrate the President and his supporters. Special Agent Joe Barron of the FBI explains:

“It is actually a very ingenuous plot: create a huge distraction for both the President and his supporters with outlandish theories that make everyone look like they’re idiots. In the meantime, while everyone was looking in one place the real action was going on somewhere else. So while there really is a deep state, the deep state was throwing red meat in one corner of the yard to distract the dog, so to speak, while sneaking in under the fence in another corner of the yard.

If it hadn’t been for the newly formed Quantitative Informational Threat Prediction division (Q-TIP) at the FBI we would have never uncovered the plot. Q-TIP was able to trace messages posted on 4chan and 8chan back to the originating servers via their communications logs. The breakthrough came when it was found that one of the IP addresses was matched to the same domain under which Hillary Clinton’s still missing private email server was registered.

Without divulging our sources and methods, we now have solid evidence that the entire Q movement has been financed by Soros, Clinton and Obama in an effort to undermine President Trump.”
