Regis Philbin was truly a shining star. He was a great entertainer, known for his charisma, a great singer with and soothing voice, and a devoted family man.

He was many things, but he was an even greater American.

He had a long history of being a television personality, most notably hosting “Live with Regis” and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”

But those accomplishments pale in comparison to the good he did for our great nation, going so far as to leaving $20 Million to the Trump campaign in his will.

It is for this reason that Regis’ longtime friend President Trump has decided to give the eulogy at his funeral.

President Trump wants to honor his good friend and thank him one last time, especially for Philbin’s large contribution to the Trump campaign.

A spokesman for the Philbin family, Joe Barron, issued the following statement regarding the funeral:

“This is such a great honor for the family. Not many people have the President attend their funeral, much less give the eulogy, but I can’t think of anyone more deserving than Regis. Our President has the best words and it will surely be a tremendous eulogy. It will probably be the best because the President will be talking mainly about himself, and after all, he is the best. Regis will be missed by many.”

This is wonderful news for Regis, his family, and America. Regis deserves recognition for his many achievements in life and special recognition for his donation in death.

There is truly no one better amongst us than Regis Philbin and Donald Trump.

May Regis rest in eternal peace. Amen.
