Republican Senator Dan Crenshaw is a veteran, a brave soldier who served his country overseas and was wounded in the process, losing an eye. He is proud of his service and wears a patch, rather than a fake eyeball, as a badge of honor for the work he did for our country.

Bottom line, the man is a hero.

One would think that members of Congress would honor our heroes, but for one Democrat in particular, that is not the case. New York Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is openly mocking Crenshaw’s service and making fun of his disability in the process.

This past weekend, while speaking before a charity luncheon women’s banquet thing for abortions, Cortez began to speak of how hard she is working for the people.

She also spoke of other members of Congress that she did not feel were pulling their weight. One of these was Crenshaw, and her words were not good words.

“You all know me. I work tirelessly for you day and night. I do what Trump only claims to do. I am available for my constituents anytime and will fight for them with everything I have.

I wish that were true of all people in Congress but there are some who feel their time on the hill is playtime. For example, have you seen the guy with the eyepatch? Sure you have. He kind of stands out with that silly thing on his face.

Anyway, his name is Crenshaw, a republican from somewhere. I have no idea where. It doesn’t really matter. The man is a loser with no qualifications to be in the Senate.

I want to say to him, ‘Mr. Crenshaw, Congress is no place to play pirates. We have serious work to do here. You make a mockery of the government of the United States of America.’

I hold my tongue though, just in case he’s challenged in some way. And, considering that all he does play pirates when he should be working, I have to assume that he is. His brain age is probably around 7. He’s a child.

I don’t want to insult him for that directly. I’m sure he may be capable of doing the job, but he’s not doing it. Why Republicans would elect people like this is beyond me.”

This is completely unacceptable for anybody to say, much less a member of Congress and colleague of the pirate. We can only hope that those who voted for Cortez in the first place hear these disgusting words and do not re-elect this mean, nasty person.
